Position Title: RedHat Openshift/Kubernetes Admin

Project Location: Remote

Duration of the Contract/Engagement: Long Term

Clearance or Background Investigation Needed: Active IRS MBI. Need MBI Letter.  Proposed Candidate(s) must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) with at least three consecutive years of U.S. residency, from the date of legal entry, as an LPR.

Level of Education or Years of Experience Required: Bachelors Degree + 10+ Years Overall Experience

Description of the Project: MeF is a platform for electronically filing returns with the IRS. It provides SOA based web services that filers use to submit returns and provides web applications for IRS users to work with the returns. MeF validates filed returns, determines their disposition, and interfaces with other IRS systems for downstream processing of the returns.

Day-to-Day duties of the Position: Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes admin with a strong background in container orchestration, platform management and cloud-native applications with hands-on experience in managing and deploying applications on OpenShift and/or Kubernetes clusters.

Primary Duties:

• Deploy, manage and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters – 25%

• Configure, manage and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift – 20%

• Automate cluster provisioning, configuration and deployment pipelines using tools like Ansible, Teraform, Helm – 25%

• Integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift with CICD deployment tools like Jenkins, Maven, GitHub – 15%

• Document and troubleshoot issues with containerized applications – 15%
