Sr. COBOL/DB2 Programmer

Description:

Alltech needs a senior COBOL/DB2 Programmer to work on a suite of large/complex mainframe and client server data warehouse decision support applications.

Required:

• Minimum of 10 years experience in COBOL/DB2 programming

• Strong analysis and design capabilities in DB2

• Experience developing new and maintaining existing COBOL/DB2 programs

• Hands-on testing (Unit, System, Integration, Regression) to include analysis, documentation and presentation of test results

• IBM 3090 OS/MVS COBOL II (Mainframe)

• DB2, QMF, SPUFI, BMC Utilities

• VSAM Files

• Mainframe JCL, TSO/ISPF and Utilities (Fileaid, IEFBR14, IEBGENER)

• Endevor Librarian programs migration

• Requirement gathering, analysis and documentation

• Flow charting of process and program flows

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills for Customer Interface (discuss business requirements, present test results, etc.)

• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills; willing to put in the extra effort to facilitate the best possible product/resolution

Desired:

• Prior Federal Government experience

• Healthcare background
