Configuration Manager (Rational Expert)

Description:

Responsible for the configuration management planning and its execution as it pertains to the EDSS software, documents, and hardware.  Perform all the configuration management processes and procedures as outlined in the Configuration Management Plan and outlined in the CMMI Key Process Area for Configuration Management.  Develop and implement training of the programmers to institutionalize the programmers' understanding of the use of ClearCase and ClearQuest.  Perform as the project Rational Tool Set administrator.  Assist the Test Team in the integration of Test Manager with other Rational Tools.    

Required:

• Successfully implemented software configuration management program on a mid-size project

• Demonstrated experience with Rational Tools primarily ClearCase, ClearQuest and the integration of these tools at a project level

• Demonstrated experience with the integration of the Rational Tool Set (Requisite Pro, Rational Rose/XDE, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Test Manager)

• Demonstrated experience as a Configuration Manager

• Thorough understanding of CMMI Configuration Management Key Process Areas (KPA) and implementation of the KPA

• Exposure to Rational Rose

• Strong written and oral communications skills - ability to interact with upper level management with confidence and professionalism

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in the field of Information Technology

• Must possess the ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines yet remain flexible in responding to changing requirements

Desired:

• Possess intricate knowledge of the IRS's compliance legacy system

• Prior IRS experience

• Active or recent MBI

• Rational Unified Process Methodology experience

• Microsoft Visio

• Must be a self-starter, able to stay in sync with project activities and decisions, yet capable of working with limited direction
