Alltech is seeking a EMC Storage Engineer to join our team in the Washington DC Metro Area.

Our customer wants to develop a tiered storage environment using Cloud concepts. Near storage will be housed within a government facility and on government provided systems utilizing Cloud like technology, but older data may be moved to a commercial solution. This SOW is seeking an engineer with EMC SAN engineering experience as well as experience designing and implementing Cloud technology for a large organization. Specifically, but not limited to, VMAX, VNX and Atmos systems.

The Engineer shall be proficient in IT implementations of tiered storage systems and technology to provide design, engineering, security, and operational support, and troubleshoot technical aspects of an enterprise-wide storage system. This includes an understanding of how all components connect to and integrate with the Server Virtualization applications, Microsoft Active Directory environment parameters, SAN switching, Cloud technologies, information lifecycle management software applications and all other enterprise and storage platform and application system components.

The objectives shall be in line with the Cloud Project Objectives and achieved through a phased approach. Once the project is complete, the engineer may provide steady state support for the systems fielded for project if the customer funds the follow on work, as well as provide engineering support for new Cloud based projects as they are identified. The Contractor shall perform all tasks and provide all deliverables as specified.
